Journal Cloud has been updated to RC3. We updated a little early, as we are going to be migrating to a different host soon. We can use this week to test it out, so when disaster strikes we know it was the new server, and not the new version. ^_^

Update: It has only been a few days, and the official 3.0 release has dropped. We are rocking the new Twenty Ten theme as well.

Journal Cloud is now running WordPress MU 2.7. Everything seems to be working fine. Additionally, a the plugin Simple Tags Plugin has been replaced with Simple Tagging (same author, don't ask me about the naming scheme).

I just updated Journal Cloud to WordPress MU 2.6. It was painless, and hopefully no one noticed. ^_^

A couple of days ago I went to WordCamp SF. It was inspiring as always, and I am happy to know that there are a lot of folks out there working with a community to educate and empower. It also made me a little self-conscience, since I haven't been evangelizing Journal Cloud as much as I want.

I am going to be sitting down with the cogs and draw up a battle plan. In the meantime, feel free to pop over in the forums and leave your ideas for the site.

Well, here is something new. As Kimi and I have announced to a few folks, we are running a blogging community. What does that mean?

Well, it means we just got a lot busier. There goes my dreams of successfully accomplishing a NaNoWriMo. We are using WordPressMU, which means it is just like starting a new weblog, but with a lot more options. So many, many options. I am still geeking out. I don't even know what most of these things do! And that means we are going to roll this out over time. We have a list of people waiting to jump on here and start using the site, and our first task is to get them doing that.

Then comes plugins… and themes… and categories… and MU-specific hacks…

Fun all around. So, if you are interested, check this space again, maybe even often. I am sure I can <s>sucker</s> convince a fellow cog into keeping at least the main journal up-to-date. ^_^
